The solution
We built a headless commerce platform: a Next.js / PayloadCMS frontend talking to Odoo through GraphQL APIs for catalog, cart, checkout and orders. Odoo remains the ERP for inventory, order management and customer data. Cashfree handles payments, Shiprocket calculates shipping and fulfilment, and a custom distributor registration and approval workflow runs inside Odoo. Delivery continues in sprints: promotions, discount engine, search and filtering, performance work.
How we built it
- Developed a headless frontend integrated with Odoo.
- Built GraphQL APIs for product, cart, and order management.

Questions
What runs on Odoo and what runs in Next.js?
Odoo holds the catalog, discounts, orders, customers, shipping rates and promotions, and Next.js renders the storefront on top of it over GraphQL. Nothing is duplicated into a separate commerce database.
How are payments and shipping handled?
Cashfree processes online payments and Shiprocket provides shipping rates and fulfilment, both integrated with the Odoo order flow.
Is the platform still evolving?
Yes: sprint-based development continues for new product launches, performance work and features, on an engagement of 8+ months so far.
